Grip socks are sports socks with a non-slip silicone grip pattern on the underside. This pattern keeps your foot in place inside your shoe, reducing slipping when sprinting, stopping and changing direction. HÏ Grip grip socks are made from spandex, cotton, nylon and polyester.

The silicone grip pattern under the sock creates friction between your foot and the inside of your shoe. This reduces back-and-forth movement when stopping, turning and accelerating. Grip socks do not replace your shoes: they improve the connection between sock and shoe.

Yes, there is research on grip socks in general. This research measures a coefficient of friction of 1.17 for grip socks compared with 0.60 for regular socks. Please note: these studies tested grip socks as a category, not HÏ Grip specifically. Sources are listed at the bottom of this page.

The difference is underneath: regular sports socks have a smooth sole, while HÏ Grip grip socks have a silicone grip pattern. This helps your foot stay in place inside your shoe. Otherwise, they are simply sports socks: stretchy, breathable and made for intensive use.

HÏ Grip grip sock sizes generally correspond to your shoe size. If you are between sizes, choose the larger one. Available sizes for each product are shown on its product page.

Wash your grip socks at 30 to 40°C, inside out with a mild detergent, and leave them to air dry. Do not tumble dry: heat can damage the elasticity and grip pattern. Do not wring them out and store them in a dry place away from direct sunlight. You can also hand wash them in cold or lukewarm water.
